Heavens Are Open!!!

I want to live like this. Drenching myself in the scriptures, every. single. day. Praying all the time. Trusting in the Lord. Strengthen my testimony. Honoring my covenants. And so much more. This past weekend, words of God were spoken to us by the Prophet, the Apostles, & the General Authorities of the church. We were uplifted, encouraged, and showered with love. I have listened to general conference all my life, but never like this. We gathered in the auditorium and sat to listen to every word spoken, taking notes along the way. I have so many things I want to say. Let's just say, if you didn't listen to conference this time... go & listen right now. 

 

 

I want to just write some lines that stood out to me so much!!! If Christ were here, he would say He loves us. He would ask us to repent. With His help, you can carry any burden. See yourself as he sees you!!! You have the power to choose... & Jesus Christ is the only way. He is the best choice. Everything points back to him! Wait on Him. He is our compass. Focus on Him. If we look for Him, we will find Him. 

 

 

A topic I noticed a lot of was covenants. It is so important to remember them always and to stay worthy of them. Here are a few of the many quotes I wrote down!

》Casual & inconsistency of keeping your covenants leads to spiritual casualty.

The Heavens are open. Heavenly Father & Jesus Christ are here to help us. Temples are becoming more accessible. They are helping to gather Israel. Go to the temple. May God be with you till we meet again. These are some of the words of our prophet before he closed conference. Such a powerful moment. As he closed, I had tears streaming down my face. I love him. I know that he is the Prophet of God. I feel it as he gets up to stand in front of us. I feel it through his words & I know that they are true. 

 

 

On Monday, I will be flying to Argentina!! I am ready to go, but leaving will be sad. I have learned so much here. I felt of the spirit daily. I love my companion. I love my district. Have the cutest roommates who we laugh with every night after devotional. Amazing teachers. Devotionals that will be unforgettable. & so many laughs. It was definitely not perfect. The food was often a bummer. There were a few bumps in the road with the district. A couple earthquakes. Lots of mistakes in the language. Tiring days. Some nights with tears. Yet, I will miss it so much. Being here I feel safe. I am surrounded by English. I have people who I trust. The food is prepared for me. I have a schedule planned for me. It will for sure be an adjustment when I get to Argentina, but I know that I am going to love it just as much or even more. 

 

 

I am so excited to go out and just love the people with all I got. I am excited to see people accept this gospel into their lives & to see their change of heart. I am overjoyed knowing that I can stand tall knowing that I am walking with Christ right by my side. I am excited to share the thing I hold most dear and to always testify that Jesus Christ is the only way.
