Run To The Light

Image
After searching for her whole life, she finally found it. She just knew when the missionaries came that there was something different. She prayed on her knees, in her room, to ask God. & He gave her that answer. That's why she got baptized. Karina got baptized on Saturday & I can't even explain the happiness that filled that day. We woke up that morning & we sent her a text. She had a rough night & wasn't doubting her decision but we decided to go to her house. We just sat there, to listen, as she explained all that had happened. Then we showed a video. A video that talks about running to the light. Karina ran to the light. She got baptized less than a month after the missionaries found her. She knew. As we walked with her to her baptism, she was telling us about her daily study & how she found herself in Alma 34:32. Which says, "Yea, I would that ye would come forth and harden not your hearts any longer; for behold, now is the time and the day of y...

God Of Miracles

Another week of goodbyes & hellos. To villa mitre, I loved every second. I felt the spirit so strong & watched people change from one way to someone completely different. My time there was short but I will remember the people I met forever. They made a lasting impact. My sweet companion Hermana López, made me cry through her testimony, made me laugh in moments when maybe I shouldn't be laughing, & she made me a better missionary through her example. She is just like I always said she was & was never changing. A light, a jokester, & full of love. A big topic her & I focused on at the end of our time together was how God is unchanging. We found ourselves in tears explaining to people just how good He is. How many miracles & blessings we have prepared for us, how perfect His timing is, & how we can better put our trust in Him. My time there was full of happiness. I have to share about Bruno. He is the one who I always have a picture with. He has some di...

For I Will Lead You Along

Oh how full of gratitude I am. For the things that I am learning & for the people that I am meeting!!! For my time I had to serve in Villa Mitre & to have Hermana López as my companion!!! She is such an amazing missionary. Full of love, exactly obedient, hilarious, & diligent. She does all that she does with an eye single to the glory of God. I feel blessed that I got to watch her be a missionary & to teach these people with her. Even though it was only six weeks, I love this girl so much. She is a little ray of sunshine. Transfers came & with such surprise. This week, I will be heading to Necochea!!! I am so excited. I have only heard good things! It's a branch, so there's a lot of work to do!!! Going to try to bring them a ward! My new companion is from Peru!!! Her name is Hermana Manayay!! This will be her first transfer in the mission, so I'm going to be a mom!!! Let me tell ya, I am quite nervous & I don't feel ready for this but I know that...

It Will Be An Anchor

As I sat in sacrament meeting yesterday, I really focused on my personal relationship with Christ. While being a missionary, I have been thinking about our friends & what going through their mind & oh I hope they are feeling the spirit, or receiving the answers to their prayers. When that happens, it's like I miss the whole point. The sacrament is for me. It's for you. It's the moment each week to, through the sincerity of your heart, be made clean again. To think of our Savior & His great sacrifice. & to remember Him. & as I did, my heart was on fire & tears filled my eyes. So I invite you to really take this sacred moment of every week, & turn it into what it was meant to be. A moment for you & a moment with the Lord. Do not treat the sacrament lightly! Oh how great a blessing it is to have the opportunity to, each week, start over & try to be better the following. & oh how great the love is from our Lord to us to give it to us. Wen...
