Let Him In

As we went from house to house, the spirit was with us. It was with us that day especially. When we woke up that morning & planned, little did we know that our dedicated return missionary would be accompanying us the whole day. At 2, Enzo was with us. Started off a little slow, until we ran into 2 old friends of his. Shared with them the message of Christ & there started our miracles. Found our way to the house of our sweet new members, Thiago & Vladimir, this time in hopes to find their uncle. He was there!!! Nahuel is so prepared. He has been surrounded by light & spirit as his family has taken steps towards the celestial kingdom. We sat with him & shared the gospel of Jesus Christ. He was so understanding & listening so intently & his eyes beaming with light. He had entered into the church for the first time in his life on Monday & he said he felt something special. He has been grabbing the Book of Mormon & the pamphlets we have left the kids ...

A lesson full of the spirit & Quimey was understanding fast. It was beautiful. Karina began to explain what it means to endure to the end & how it's not just do all the right things, it's to be an example & share with your friends. In that moment, he talked about a friend who is going through a hard time. He invited us to have a lesson with the two of them so he can find the joy that Quimey has. It was special & we left happy. Then he forgot to come to church again. So break my heart right in half. We talked to Karina after, she told us he said it was boring at church. So now begins a whole deep training of the importance of church & why we go!!! He's going to love it. Next week, you'll hear that he came. He has to. I think this week I felt like Jesus did quite a few times. Rejected. We go around all day long trying to find people who want to follow Jesus. Get a lot of doors in faces, fingers shaken, heads shaken, & thank you but no's. They a...

What brings the most joy is when people choose to follow Jesus. When they change their lives & take that step. When they stay firm even if it seems different. Oriana, Thiago, & Vladimir opened the doors to heaven yesterday as they stepped into the water & were baptized. If only you could've seen the smiles on their faces. Pure joy. This week revolved around them & I loved every second of it. One of my favorite parts was when Thiago was praying & he said "thank you for the sisters who are here almost every day." We were there everyday this week preparing them for the special day. It was happiness. They were so ready & so excited for the day. They all came to church knowing that their baptism depended on it. But with them, came the whole family. The church was filled. As I sat in the room, I couldn't help the tears. To see this family, some active, some inactive, & some who are still hanging back, but all there, supporting these little kids i...
