"I want that." I was in exchanges and we were on our way to visit some people and one of them was Andres. We had a lesson with him my first week in this area, & the spirit was so present. My companion & I were both crying & he had tears in his eyes. It had been about 4 weeks since we had that lesson with him. We decided to pass by on Friday & it just so happens that we knocked just as he had gotten home from work!!! We asked if we could have a minute to share a little lesson. He said yes!!! So we started to share about the Gospel of Jesus Christ & this guy just brings the spirit. He carries the light of Christ. He was smiling so big and was responding to each point!!! We talked about baptism & the holy ghost and you could just tell he had the desire!!! So we extended the invitation & he accepted!!!! He is getting baptized on March 4th & we are so excited!!! What a special week it was. Full of the spirit & powerful invitations!!! Fabián & María... they are so cute. They listen intently. Fabián comes to all the activities & to church & is always participating. This week, we wanted to extend the baptismal invitation. We planned a super special lesson around the Gospel of Jesus Christ & although they said no, Fabián said he wants to really come to know & love God first. Similar to Fernando, we extended the baptismal invitation last week but really felt like we should go over it again because he is just so ready. Planned a lesson focused on the priesthood and the atonement. As we spoke of the atonement, tears filled his eyes & ours. The spirit was with us in the park that day. He said that he wants to take it slow as well. We pushed a little saying that he should accept this opportunity to receive salvation, shared powerful scripture & words of Apostles, really shared testimony from the heart. We left that one a...

A bunch of goodbyes to the people of Santa Rosa, my companion, & the zone this week. I do not like goodbyes but it's a little easier knowing there's something else in store. I picked some scriptures to share with each member family and went to visit and leave them with my testimony. The bus came on Wednesday and we had a 5 hour trip! Then I met my new companion!!! Hermana López has been the cutest thing!! She is such a light!!! Her testimony is so strong and all she does is for the people!! She loves big! And with that, she is such a jokester & it makes all things happier.      It's such a good area!! The ward is pretty big and we've had quite a few lessons with members!! That is something I want to try to do more because each time the spirit is stronger!!! We had a lesson with Mauricio and an Hermana from our ward. We talked about our conversion stories and the hermana shared her love story with her husband, who recently passed. We were all crying, it was beaut...

I am left full of gratitude. All that this year has brought me, blessings upon blessings that are just impossible to count. I am emotional while writing this email because I am here. I am serving a mission & I am doing it for my Savior. At the beginning of the year, I did not know in the slightest that I would be at this place in my life, but I would not want it any other way. I have been a missionary for 4 months!!! My testimony has been fortified immensely. I have no doubt in my mind that this church is true, that we have a living Prophet on the earth today and that he is guided by our Father in Heaven, that the Book of Mormon is the word of God that goes hand in hand with the Bible, that the Prophet Joseph Smith was called of God to restore this church, that Jesus Christ was sent to the earth to redeem us so that we could use His perfect Atonement to repent and come unto Him, that the family is ordained of God and that they can be forever, that the temple is the House of the Lor...
