At The Doors

As we sat in church yesterday, Carina raised her hand & shared that her time has come. How her husband went inactive years ago, but the missionaries kept coming by & one day she just realized that this is what she wanted. So she sought it out. The desire in her heart is pure. She has her difficulties, like all do, but she keeps pushing. She is reading the scriptures & coming to church!!! It was her birthday this week & we got to celebrate by having lunch with her. It was such a joy, we love her & her family. We are going to be jumping up & down the day her baptism comes. Our sweet Karina went to Mar del Plata this week to get her patriarchal blessing. She had been so drawn to the idea of it the second we brought it up. So after general conference, when it was mentioned various times, she made an appointment & took her family with her. She is so good. A true disciple of Jesus Christ. Always serving & sharing the truth she learns. & she loves. She is a...

Always

As I sit & think about all that I have experienced to this point on my mission, my heart is overjoyed. It has not been easy. I knew it wouldn't be. My patience is tested, we get rejected, our lessons fall through, our friends forget to come to church, my body begins to hurt, & members don't get along. All the things that make up our days & more. Yet, each night as the day comes to a close, I still find myself happy. I think the hard is what makes it all so worth it. To get to the moments when you're in a lesson & the spirit is speaking through you, the people begin to cry, they accept the invitations, actually do them, & choose to follow. To keep coming. I think that's what is the most important. To keep going. Keep giving all you have, with hope knowing that there's something so special ahead. That even when things don't go as planned, there is a greater plan in store. & that's what God has given us. Happiness. He gave us happiness. ...

To Become A Saint

She got her answer. She knows what she needs to do, but she can't bring herself to act upon it. Maria Marta has such a pure heart. As we met up with her this week, she explained that she knows she isn't going to marry the man she's living with which means she needs to either leave him or not get baptized. She brought herself to the thought of not going to church anymore. As we talked to her this day, we told her to keep coming to church. We told her that we can see the battle in her head with this decision & she said she wants to get rid of the stress with tears in her eyes. We explained that Jesus is her answer. & she knows that & she wants that so badly, but in the process she would hurt someone else & she can't bring herself to do that. It broke my heart to see her with this struggle. We pray & pray that she will be able to make up her mind & turn her life to Christ. Our sweet friend Carina is going to be getting baptized here soon! We are jus...

This Is The Christ

I know that Jesus Christ Lives. He is our Savior. Our Redeemer. Our Comforter. Our Shepherd. As you may suspect, I am going to talk about general conference. I was touched so many times by the spirit. The words, the music, the love. As it was starting on Saturday, I found myself writing in my journal, this is pure joy. & it was & it is. In 3 Nephi 11, we learn about when Christ visited America. He did come. He was here. The people touched Him. They "did know of a surety." He is the Christ. He lives. They bowed down at His feet. As we should, as we wait for Him to come again. Love Him. Love others. Keep His commandments. The time has come. Knowledge has been fulfilled. Because of Him everything has changed. Study 3 Nephi. Testify of Him. "Never give up an opportunity to testify of Christ." We need Him. Everyone needs Him. Arise & come forth, feel the prints of His hands. The spirit will make witness. Look for Christ everywhere. He is there. He lives. If y...
