Full Of Change

Image
One of the things that brings me to tears is to see the change in the lives of these people. A moment I will never forget was to be back in Necochea for a day, while in the middle of change. It just so happened that they had a lesson planned with Nahuel. He came out to greet us with the biggest smile. We talked about how although it may be hard to see now, there is hope. That there is a plan & God has so much in store. We talked about the atonement of Jesus Christ & how it is never too late. I couldn't help but feel the love God has for him. I sat there & began to cry & tears filled his. Nahuel changed my life. He is a light. On Wednesday night, we got a call from President to tell us transfer news. He asked for my companion first. Told her where she was going & with who & then told her that he couldn't tell me before telling my new companion first & hung up. So I didn't sleep much. My mind was running all night. The next day after we left the ho...

You Will Know His Voice

Image
The heavens cheered this week as Pablo entered into the waters of baptism & recieved the Gift of the Holy Ghost!! It was a sweet moment, very intimate because he wanted to feel the spirit. & it was there. When he came out of the font, his smile was bigger than I have seen. You could just see how much thought he had put into it. His desire is pure. God loves His children so much. We are so blessed to see it & to feel it!!! It was sweet, as he finished his interview, he came out & put his arm up in the air saying I passed. You could see the happiness in his eyes. On a rainy day last week, a lesson fell through. This week, on a rainy day, that same lesson happened!!! Bruno came to the church for a lesson & we were able to give him a tour. We sat ourselves in a classroom & explained the restoration. His face lit up. His smile beaming, saying he felt the same way as Joseph Smith in the other churches he had been too, there was something missing. He took our invitatio...

Rallied Around

A beautiful start to the week as we gathered together as a zone to be edified. The messages given brought the spirit. We spoke on faith, joy, hope, charity, meekness, & humility. Just how Jesus Christ is. We are to be like Jesus. We are to teach as he would. We are to love & serve as he would. It's what we promised when we were baptized. We are the light of Christ. The people see that in us. We are helping them find that light. We are preparing to be with God while we are here on Earth. God is full of glory & light. Our mission president gave us an analogy. He asked us if tomorrow, we were asked to do a brain surgery on someone, would we be ready? We would not be ready. It takes 13 years & a life of practice to be a brain surgeon. It is a process. We must work at it everyday. He then asked us if we would be ready to be with God tomorrow. It takes a whole life of repenting & becoming better. It is a process. Prepare yourselves. You must know that the grace of Jes...

Hearts Rejoice

Image
He wanted to follow Jesus & so he said yes. Our friend Pablo decided to accept a baptismal date!!! He has been taught for quite some time by the missionaries. We began to teach him & felt his desire to learn more about Jesus Christ. As he sat in Elders Quorum, he heard about baptism & he wanted that. We had a phone call with him & we helped him with some of the questions & doubts he had. & we invited him to take the step & follow Jesus. Hearts rejoiced. We are happy for him & will be helping him prepare spiritually to start on the covenant path! Yesterday as we finished a lesson, we passed by the house of a family to invite them to the activity we had. We waited at the church for maybe 10 minutes & we saw 8 kids walking down the road. They came!!! It was so special. They sang, listened, & had fun while I just sat there with a smile on my face because kids are joy. Last week in testimony meeting, all the kids went up to share all that they know in...

Try

Image
Spent the week inviting everyone to church because it's the thing that lacks a lot of the time. Every person it felt like, but not even just inviting them, insisting that it is the thing they need. To go & see. Something that has been on my mind a lot lately. We invite invite invite everyone & invite all sorts of things. To read the Book of Mormon for the first time, to pray, to go to church. All that they need to do is try. I have found that sometimes people struggle to take that first step, but once they do, their life changes completely. Our friend Patricio came to church!! My companion and another sister had a lesson with him on Tuesday when I left to go do divisions, he prayed in the lesson asking God to help him go to church. He made it & participated in the class!! It was so special. Not only Patricio, but Pablo, Isabel, Uma, & Yazmin came! It fills our hearts with joy when we see people taking the little steps in faith. Which one day leads to the big ones! W...
