Trust In Him

Oh my beautiful people!!! I love all of you so so so much and I am so grateful to all of you who helped get me to this point in my life! My heart is full.

On Sunday, I was set apart as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints! I have spent this past week in the home MTC and it has been AMAZING! I have the best companion ever. We seriously are like the same person. She is SO cute and I feel extremely blessed. Her testimony is such a strength to my own! I want to share one of the many beautiful things she shared with me this morning in our companion study. She read 1 Nephi 4:6-7 which says, "And I was led by the spirit, not knowing beforehand the things which I should do. Nevertheless I went forth." We all will come to a point in our lives when we have to make choices and oftentimes, we won't know the right way until we take a step. If you are on the fence about something big in your life right now, take that step. The Lord will guide you and he will always provide a way.

My district, I LOVE THEM. I cannot wait to meet them in person. As this week has gone by, I have felt the spirit so strongly every. single. day. I can say that most of it is through the words shared by my district and our teachers. Yesterday in our morning class, each of us shared our favorite scriptures and our testimony of it and it was beautiful. In the afternoon, some of us shared our conversion stories to our Savior and I was just in tears listening to those who shared. After sharing mine, I was told to pick the next person. I was deciding between two but felt like I should go with Elder Dial. He shared his story and I could not stop the tears, the spirit was with us. He lost his dad back in 2019 to a heart attack. He shared with a smile on his face and tears in his eyes that his dad is his best friend and that he feels so blessed that not only does he get an earthly companion his whole mission, but that he has his heavenly companion by his side as well. He said something that stuck with me. "The Lord doesn't give us any trials that we can't overcome." Life is not easy, we lose people, we struggle, and we get lost. With the Lord however, we can overcome anything. There have been many instances this week where I can just testify that the Lord places people in your path exactly when they are needed.

My teachers are the purest. That is one of my favorite words and you will probably hear me say it 100 times over the next 18 months, sorry. Hermana Hernandez is full of charity and makes me smile so much. She finished off every class by saying she loves us. I love HER. Hermano Rojas is literally my favorite. He is so silly and so sweet. He always says "lets gooo" and it makes us all laugh every time. One of my favorite things that he has said is, "It will be like Jesus is smiling when you smile because you represent Christ. Trust in Him, He trusted you." I can't begin to express how thankful I am for these two humans.

Now, it is not easy. I am tired, it is hard to learn a language, it is hard to feel like you're doing enough while at home, but the Lord is so near. I can feel His love and His push. I can feel the gift of tongues working. Slowly, I am able to start understanding more and memorizing is coming along. In the hard moments, it is hard to notice the blessings that are flowing in. If you just sit back a little bit, it is easier to recognize those blessings. I always say this but it is just so true, the good always overcomes the bad. "If indeed we have been saved for this day then we have a lot to do, & it won't be easy." but... HE WILL LIFT YOU UP. He will carry you through your trials, if you just Trust in Him.

With all my love,

Hermana Morley <3
