Growing!!!

The first transfer is finishing & I really can't believe it. Hermana Trimble is leaving me, my mom.. BUT for now, we are getting another Hermana who will finish my training after Hermana Trimble leaves. Her name is Hermana Burgos! She is from Uruguay and speaks Spanish, Portuguese, & English. I have heard she is so funny & she will always say not to speak English. That will be an adjustment for sure but I am hopeful to see improvement in speaking!!! I am excited to meet her & to introduce her to the people of Santa Rosa!!! 

 

 

This week we have had a few special lessons!!! One being with our recent convert, Pablo! He has been struggling with a few things in his life and we shared a scripture with him and as we were baring testimony, he began to cry. The spirit was there and I was able to say the things that were in my heart!!! I am so thankful. 

 

 

We also taught Lidia! She's getting baptized the first week of December!! Last week, her daughter was causing her lots of stress as she was going through a divorce and we got worried. This week when we went to visit her, we taught tithing and fasting & she took it so well. She said she still wants to be baptized because ever since, she has felt like miracles have been flowing into her life. We are so excited for her to take this step!!! Pray for her!!!

 

 

We also taught someone who we found last week! Her name is Maylin! She has 2 kids and a boyfriend and we taught her Lesson 1, which is the restoration!! She sat and listened to us so intently and after went on to tell us that she has always wanted to learn about our church!! We are hopeful because they are the cutest family!! We will be praying a TON!!!

 

 

We clapped a lot of doors this week & honestly it was a struggle. The people here have their hearts closed and more than not, they turn us away before we can share who we are. It's okay though, because one day, at least we can hope, they will open their hearts and readily receive this sweet gospel into their lives. 

 

 

I know, with all my heart, that this church is the true church restored on the Earth today. Heavenly Father loves us SO much. He is preparing the world for the Second Coming of His son, Jesus Christ. I know that the time is so near. We must stay strong, stand firm, & never lose sight of this truth. If you are wandering away, come back. If you feel you are too far gone, I promise you aren't. Turn to the Lord & He will receive you. If you are standing firm in the faith, stay. Keep going & remember, always, the goodness of God. 

 

 

Alma 32:41-43!!!

      "But if ye will nourish the word, yea, nourish the tree as it beginneth to grow, by your faith with great diligence, and with patience, looking forward to the fruit thereof, it shall take root; and behold it shall be a tree springing up unto everlasting life.

   And because of your diligence and your faith and your patience with the word in nourishing it, that it may take root in you, behold, by and by ye shall pluck the fruit thereof, which is most precious, which is sweet above all that is sweet, and which is white above all that is white, yea, and pure above all that is pure; and ye shall feast upon this fruit even until ye are filled, that ye hunger not, neither shall ye thirst.

   Then, my brethren, ye shall reap the rewards of your faith, and your diligence, and patience, and long-suffering, waiting for the tree to bring forth fruit unto you."

 

 

I love you & I pray for you. I invite you to exercise your faith, to nourish it, & only let it to continue to grow!!! I promise it is worth it.

I am left full of gratitude. All that this year has brought me, blessings upon blessings that are just impossible to count. I am emotional while writing this email because I am here. Heavens Are Open!!!

I want to live like this. Drenching myself in the scriptures, every. single. day. Praying all the time. Trusting in the Lord. Strengthen my testimony. Honoring my covenants. And so much more. This past weekend, words of God were spoken to us by the Prophet, the Apostles, & the General Authorities of the church. We were uplifted, encouraged, and showered with love. I have listened to general conference all my life, but never like this. We gathered in the auditorium and sat to listen to every word spoken, taking notes along the way. I have so many things I want to say. Let's just say, if you didn't listen to conference this time... go & listen right now.      I want to just write some lines that stood out to me so much!!! If Christ were here, he would say He loves us. He would ask us to repent. With His help, you can carry any burden. See yourself as he sees you!!! You have the power to choose... & Jesus Christ is the only way. He is the best choice. Everything ...
