Because He Loveth Them...

Full of tears. Everything made me cry this week. Watching talks, reading the scriptures, mission council with the ward, and all of Hermana Trimble's lasts. I wish, so much, that I could share all the things I have learned and studied!!! There is just so much good in the world. It's sometimes hard to find the good but I promise it's there!! There's plenty of people that pass us by without saying hi back or even just a smile. Plenty of people who just yell no at us or wave their hand to go away. People who make fun of us, from across the street as we walk to the church, because "we are mormons." Let me tell you, it's easy to get frustrated with the small things. Then you remember the inactive member, the one whose name you sing as you pass him by everyday, who called you over one day to give you fruit. The man watering his yard who stopped what he was doing to have a conversation with us. The young family that honked at us and waved while we walked on the side of the road and 2 minutes later, the same family was parked on the side of the road to ask us about what we are doing here and to greet us. I have some advice, advice that is common, but not enough used. Smile always and just simply say hi!!! That smile, that little interaction, may make someone's day!!!! & in some cases, their whole week, month, or year. Love one another!!! Make a difference in the world. Be a light in the darkness.

You may realize that a lot of my emails have focused or at least mentioned repentance. That is because it is SO important. Quite honestly, the most important. Without it, we cannot live in Heaven in the presence of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. What a horrible consequence for something that could be fixed with just one change of heart or change of habit or a step of faith to talk to the bishop. I listened to a talk this week. It is a byu speech called "Remember Lot's Wife" and it was powerful. I am not going to explain the whole story because that would make this email extra long, but I am going to share the phrases that stood out to me. When you have repented of something, do not look back. Do not dwell on days long gone. Do not reopen the door Christ is trying to heal. Stop talking about it, you have changed, you have repented, & Christ is trying to heal you. When you keep talking about it, it keeps the door open. This goes for others as well, and in both circumstances I have been in fault so this advice is for me too. Let people repent. Let people grow. Believe in change. Bury your weapons of war, & LEAVE THEM THERE!!! Live to see the miracles of repentance & forgiveness.

Reading the Book of Mormon for an hour or more a day has been the biggest blessing. I'm so grateful and I love that book so much!!! Mormon 9 might be one of my favorite chapters in it so I invite you to go read it. We have a God of miracles!!! Believe in Christ. Doubt it not. You will receive blessings. You will receive the answers to prayers you have been looking for. Have the faith.

Our sweet friend Lidia got baptized on Saturday!!! What a special, & long-awaited day! She was happy and ready. When it was time, she got in the water, and we all thought it went perfect. She got out, the bishop got out. Until we realized the bishop used the wrong hand. We went to go tell her she had to go again and she was happy and said I knew that the covenant wasn't done correctly. So she got back in the water and was baptized!!! Immediately after, out of nowhere, the first thunder claps of a storm came! So loud. We all looked at each other and loved to think of it as heaven's way of cheering!!! It was something so beautiful!!!

I have to share this short story. I have told you about Maylin. She was progressing so well. We were meeting with her pretty often. She was always so interested in the Book of Mormon, followed through with our invitations, but we went over there this week and she told us that they're moving and we're so sad. We are going to have the missionaries there find her because she is ready. Please pray for her!!!

Yesterday was Hermana Trimbles last Sunday and we will have some more lasts for these next few days before she goes home. I just cry. It's so sad to think about. Your life changes so much. It's a once in a lifetime experience. You meet so many people, teach thousands of lessons, knock so many doors, study so much everyday, pray all the day long, walk miles, etc etc etc. Just for it to end one day. Yesterday we gave lesson 1 and I realized it was her last time giving it and tears. I know one day that will be me. It will be many of you. So while it's here, make the best of it. Be confident. Rely on the Lord. Go all in. Do it all for Jesus, your Savior.

Oh how I love you all, so much. I pray for you always.

Con mucho amor,

Hermana Morley <3
