Seek Jesus FIRST!!!

Sometimes people fall, they lose sight, they turn their backs on what they know to be true & what they felt one day. As we went to pass by Herminda's house, she wasn't home. So we told her brother we would pass by again just a little later. But when we went back, she wasn't there. We'll just go by the next day. While we were walking from appointment to appointment the day after, we got a text and it was her saying, "I am not going to go anymore." I couldn't even believe it. Our eyes filled with tears. We just knew and she had told us that she felt the spirit. We passed by again to try to ask her what happened but she was sleeping. We tried to call her, no answer. So on Saturday night, I wrote up a text for her telling her our thoughts and sending her a quote. All she said was "thank you, but I am not going anymore." We had to drop her yesterday and boy, it's sad. She came so close. All we can do is pray for her heart & hope that one day some other missionaries pass by her house and she remembers all that she felt.

 

 

Although it is hard when you see friends fall off, we have to, and get to, keep working!!! Take advantage of every opportunity to learn and grow. Wait patiently when you have no other choice. Lean on your sword and rest a while but get up and fight again. Perhaps you will not see the full meaning of your effort in your own lifetime, but remember your children will, or your children's children will, until finally you, with all of them, can. You are laying the foundation of a great work. Pay attention to the little details. Every one of us can have the guidance and direction of our Heavenly Father, if we strive to achieve it. Pray and then act. Follow the prophets of God, then you will be on safe territory. Have more faith. When God speaks and man obeys, that man will always be right. Stand ye in Holy Places and be not moved. BE NOT MOVED. Take heed that no man deceive you. Even the very elect can be turned away. Upon your shoulders will soon rest the responsibility to teach the world that God's way is the only way to find peace, joy, and happiness. The work is moving. Christ's gospel is going to all the earth! Be awake and be aware. Study the scriptures on a daily basis, pray regularly, and serve faithfully. This is the only true and living church upon the face of the earth. You stay anchored to it!!!! Don't let anything lead you away from what you know is true. Become anxiously engaged. Remember. Remember the Lord our God, remember the covenants we have entered into, and remember and keep God's commandments. And not only do we remember Him, He remembers us. He has made us His own in the great atoning sacrifice of the garden and on the cross and He cannot forget us. He cares deeply about where you are, what you are doing, who you are becoming, and what you are feeling. We will know Him when we see Him again. You are His most important work. He knows you by name individually and He will never forget you. Seek to find Him and keep Him there. I know that is random, but I started to write the things in my journal, and I kept finding good things. Those are some of the few moments of my week that I found myself close to tears as I read and listen to the words of the prophets. It is something so special. Read and study their words. You can receive revelation!!!

 

 

I guess I should probably say that ARGENTINA WON THE WORLD CUP!!! Literally insane and so happy. Although we didn't watch it, I would say the excitement we were able to see from these people was so awesome!!! Everyone was out of their houses, screaming and honking. We may have joined in on the excitement. Everyone was actually happy to see us yesterday haha. I love it. The mission is amazing. I learn so much every day. I feel the spirit. I have so much fun. AND I see miracles. What a beautiful experience. GO ON A MISSION!!! You will never regret it.

 

 

One day I am going to make an email with all my embarrassing stories because I promise I have so many. Just be patient with me. I love you and I pray for you all on the daily.
