God Of Miracles
Another week of goodbyes & hellos. To villa mitre, I loved every second. I felt the spirit so strong & watched people change from one way to someone completely different. My time there was short but I will remember the people I met forever. They made a lasting impact. My sweet companion Hermana López, made me cry through her testimony, made me laugh in moments when maybe I shouldn't be laughing, & she made me a better missionary through her example. She is just like I always said she was & was never changing. A light, a jokester, & full of love. A big topic her & I focused on at the end of our time together was how God is unchanging. We found ourselves in tears explaining to people just how good He is. How many miracles & blessings we have prepared for us, how perfect His timing is, & how we can better put our trust in Him. My time there was full of happiness.
I have to share about Bruno. He is the one who I always have a picture with. He has some disabilities, but him & I have such a special connection. Since day one, I was drawn to him. He can't talk much but his memory is so powerful!!! Every single time I went over there he would remember the things we did together. I always give him a handshake & snap at the end. So we would be in the middle of lessons & he would do the motion of a snap because he would remember. We would take a picture after every time spent together because every time he would remember that first time we did. & to finish our time off together, we went to their house for a little lesson & he wanted funny videos on YouTube, so you all know me, let's get Disney music on here. I start playing Moana and he's dancing along with me & laughing so hard. Then Elsa, singing let it go & pretending he has powers. & it was just pure joy. God is a God of miracles, because we have people like Bruno.
I am now in Necochea!!! With sweet Hermana Manayay!! She is so cute. She is a convert to the church for about 3 years & the first in her family!!! & now he's out serving a mission. I feel so lucky that I am trusted to be her companion. It took us 13 hours to get here on Thursday. We left at 6 in the morning & got to our area at 7 in the night. Longest bus ride of my life & I had just gotten sick the day before so to be on that thing with a cold was something so special. We have been visiting basically every single person in this area for the past 3 days. So many good people & I'm so excited to get to know each one more!!! God is a God of miracles, because he sends people into our lives when we need them.
Karina is getting baptized this weekend!!! She is so ready. She just started to come to church 3 weeks ago & she talks like she has been a member her whole life. She is so excited for her baptism & we are so excited to be apart of it. Her faith is unreal. She just talks & brings the spirit. Her son too, Simon has come to church two times & wants to be baptized!!! We are going to begin teaching him this week!!! God is a God of miracles because he is preparing people.
Our area is on the beach, & although we can't actually go to the beach, we got to see the beach this week!!! It's so beautiful. The waves were actually huge. God is a God of miracles because he created this earth & everything in it.
This Gospel changes lives. It has changed mine. It has changed the lives of people here & I know that it will continue to do so. If you are lost right now, come back. Keep working on your testimony!!! Hold on to the simple things. You will never regret it.
I love you all & I pray for each & every one of you. I hope you can feel my prayers.
With all my heart,
Hermana Morley <3
