Brim With Joy

There is so much faith in the hearts of children. They are so pure. I think that's why the scriptures talk to us in that way. Because we are to be like them. To be humble, meek, wise, & full of charity. Simón got baptized on Saturday. He is only 8 years old & made the most important decision he could've made because he had the faith. We passed by his house on Tuesday, to give him his first actual lesson. We taught him about all the steps he needed to take to get to Jesus. To have faith,  to repent, to be baptized, to receive the Holy Ghost, & to keep going & going until you're home, in your celestial home. We asked him if he wanted to be baptized. He said yes!!! Then he said tomorrow!!! He didn't get baptized tomorrow, because we still needed to teach him everything, but we passed by his house each & every day of the week to make sure he could get baptized on the weekend. He was overjoyed. & he understood everything. His heart was wide open to every single thing we talked about. Then his baptism came, when he got in the water, he had the biggest smile on his face. Beaming. & when he came up, that same smile & his mom was in tears. Her son chose to be baptized, the week following hers, & now they are the only two members of their family. But I just know that they will be the most perfect examples to them. Hearts are changed by this gospel. & I feel so extremely blessed to watch it front row.

One of the nights we went to go visit Karina & Simón, Karina was struggling a little bit. Just a lot going on in her life & she feels like she is doing everything right. I'm telling you, she will read the scriptures all day, she listens to conference talks, does come follow me, shares the gospel with people at the beach & posts all that she learns on her stories. She is doing it all. She is so good. We watched the video of Emma Smith with her because Emma had the faith & was strong in her faith. She had a rough life, but she had faith. It touched Karina's heart that night. We could be doing all that we need to do, but still sometimes things don't go as we always had planned. We need to keep the faith & push through because at the end of the road, there is something much much greater. It will be so worth it. So if you're going through something that you feel like you'll never get through, keep pushing. Keep on going. Forever. Because I promise you, you will. You will make it out. God has huge plans for you.

"Go out there & light a candle. Be a ray of light. Be your best self & let your character shine. Cherish the gospel of Jesus Christ & live it. Prepare now for a future that will be here tomorrow."

Prepare now. Do not wait.

To be a missionary is the sweetest gift. I love it. Yes it is hard. There are days when I am so tired. Days when I'm impatient. Days when things don't go as planned. Days when my legs actually feel like they might fall off. And on and on. But, there are days when we get to see a heart changed. Days when eyes are filled with tears. Days when we find someone so ready to receive this gospel. & those kinds of days make up for the rougher ones. And there's a scripture that comes to my mind to explain the way I feel.

"Behold my joy is full, yea my heart is brim with joy, & I will rejoice in my God."

My heart is brim with joy.

I love you all so much & I pray for you each & every day. Oh how I miss you.

With all my heart,

Hermana Morley <3
