To See The Fruits Of Faith

When we got here, we had a list prepared for us with the people who were progressing. There were about 15 people with good potential. One of them was Carina. Right as we started to work here we went and tried to visit all of these people. Almost nobody was home, so we decided to text each one. Finally got a response from Carina & it was a response to an invitation to the church. She told us she would come!!! And she did. Now this was three weeks ago. We finally were able to have a lesson with her. She had been taught by the missionaries in the past, her family consists of members, but it was not her time. She told us that now it is. She also told us that her nephew was going to be coming home from his mission next month and she wants him to baptize her. After our lesson on Saturday, we got a message from a random number of missionaries. It was her nephew, who is serving in chile. He told us he wants to join in on a lesson with her online. He told us, it is her time. She cannot wait any longer. & she came to church for her third week in a row & just loves it. We are so excited to keep preparing her for this special day ahead.

That list that we had of 15 people, it is narrowed down now to about 1. We spent this past 3 weeks going and visiting each and every one to see how interested they are. Some just weren't interested & some we just couldn't get in contact with. It's sad, because all you want to do is share this pure joy that you have gained from this gospel but some are just so hard hearted right now or think they have all they need. So as these next weeks go by, we will be focusing on finding the ones who are ready & who are looking for the answers. And we know that we can find them because this is the Lord's work & he is preparing people. He will place them in our paths & send the angels in heaven to help us. You just gotta have faith.

And that is part of what I was studying this week. Faith. Faith is necessary, the kind of faith that moves one to get on their knees & plead with God & then to get on their feet & to go to work. There is a sacred promise that "God shall give unto you knowledge by His Holy Spirit, yea, by the unspeakable power of the Holy Ghost." It is so easy to get discouraged. It seems so natural a thing to drop out or give in. The way seems so long, the road so steep, that we are prone to think it not worth the candle. But we get there by placing a foot in front of the other. Never lose faith in yourself or in your capacity to do worthwhile things. And call upon the Lord for help that your minds may be enlightened & your understanding quickened. Then go to work with that assurance inside of you that somehow you can do it. The faith to try leads to direction by the spirit, & the fruits that flow therefrom are marvelous to behold & experience. The kind of faith that will sustain me & you in difficult situations.

Matthew 7:20 "If ye have faith as a grain of a mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; & it shall remove; & nothing shall be impossible unto you."

With faith all things are possible. & I just know that down to my core. We can pray all we want & we can put in all the work needed, but if we do not have that faith, we will not see the blessings that follow. So put your faith in the Lord. He will lead you & guide you exactly where you need to go. Act on your spiritual promptings, immediately. Read your scriptures. Go to church, partake of the sacrament. & remember the reason for your testimony. Remember the moment when you knew. & never let that faith slip away again. Hold on tight because it is not easy.

I know this is the Church of Jesus Christ. The exact same church that He established when He was here. This church has been restored by the Prophet Joseph Smith. Our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ were here. They were here. They restored the priesthood power to the Earth. And today, we are led by a Prophet. He has the keys. He is receiving revelation to guide us in the darkening world. We are surrounded by darkness but my light is in Christ. I know that He lives. I know He is coming again. & that time will be soon. So prepare now & put your faith where it needs to be!!! He has saved us already, we just have to accept Him. So go find Him if you've lost Him & hold on tight to Him if you have Him. I promise you will never find more joy than when you are in the arms of Jesus.
