To Become A Saint

She got her answer. She knows what she needs to do, but she can't bring herself to act upon it. Maria Marta has such a pure heart. As we met up with her this week, she explained that she knows she isn't going to marry the man she's living with which means she needs to either leave him or not get baptized. She brought herself to the thought of not going to church anymore. As we talked to her this day, we told her to keep coming to church. We told her that we can see the battle in her head with this decision & she said she wants to get rid of the stress with tears in her eyes. We explained that Jesus is her answer. & she knows that & she wants that so badly, but in the process she would hurt someone else & she can't bring herself to do that. It broke my heart to see her with this struggle. We pray & pray that she will be able to make up her mind & turn her life to Christ.



Our sweet friend Carina is going to be getting baptized here soon! We are just waiting for her husband to get back from work. He fishes & they go out on the water for months. We hope he gets home soon so she can take this step. We had a powerful lesson with her & had the Elders give her a priesthood blessing to help her overcome a few obstacles that are in her way! She has felt such an added strength. I know the power of God is here on earth!!!



It was Easter!!! Such a special day. I know Jesus Christ lives. That he rose on the third day!!! He can save us from all things. All he asks is that we strive to be like Him.



3 Nephi 12:48 "Therefore I would that ye should be perfect even as I, or your Father who is in heaven is perfect."



Alma 7:23 "And now I would that ye should be humble, and be submissive and gentle; easy to be entreated; full of patience and long-suffering; being temperate in all things."



This is what we should strive to be. & we won't be perfect. But through Him we can be made perfect. So turn to Him & give Him all you have!!! Let him make you perfect. Become a Saint through His Atonement.

I am left full of gratitude. All that this year has brought me, blessings upon blessings that are just impossible to count. I am emotional while writing this email because I am here. Heavens Are Open!!!

I want to live like this. Drenching myself in the scriptures, every. single. day. Praying all the time. Trusting in the Lord. Strengthen my testimony. Honoring my covenants. And so much more. This past weekend, words of God were spoken to us by the Prophet, the Apostles, & the General Authorities of the church. We were uplifted, encouraged, and showered with love. I have listened to general conference all my life, but never like this. We gathered in the auditorium and sat to listen to every word spoken, taking notes along the way. I have so many things I want to say. Let's just say, if you didn't listen to conference this time... go & listen right now.      I want to just write some lines that stood out to me so much!!! If Christ were here, he would say He loves us. He would ask us to repent. With His help, you can carry any burden. See yourself as he sees you!!!
