The Summit

A lesson full of the spirit & Quimey was understanding fast. It was beautiful. Karina began to explain what it means to endure to the end & how it's not just do all the right things, it's to be an example & share with your friends. In that moment, he talked about a friend who is going through a hard time. He invited us to have a lesson with the two of them so he can find the joy that Quimey has. It was special & we left happy. Then he forgot to come to church again. So break my heart right in half. We talked to Karina after, she told us he said it was boring at church. So now begins a whole deep training of the importance of church & why we go!!! He's going to love it. Next week, you'll hear that he came. He has to.



I think this week I felt like Jesus did quite a few times. Rejected. We go around all day long trying to find people who want to follow Jesus. Get a lot of doors in faces, fingers shaken, heads shaken, & thank you but no's. They also tell us to have good luck. I get thinking about it & it's not luck. It's God telling you it's your chance to accept your salvation & you're denying Him. God has chosen you. He has opened this opportunity to change. Then I think some more & we constantly have that opportunity to change. To accept Jesus. To follow Him. Again, if that's necessary!!! There is always a chance to choose Him. I love to think about it. We chose Jesus before we came here, we get to choose Him again while we are here, & if we die before choosing Him, we get to choose Him again in the spirit world.



We had a conference this week!! Elder Walker visited our mission with his wife. We all traveled to Mar Del Plata & heard his council. I could listen to him all day. The spirit flows through him. I received answers to prayers.



To be united with the spirit, with my companion, with the members, & our friends had a big focus. His wife spoke on how we need to be one with the Lord. It will take adaptation to change, to humble ourselves enough. If we pay the price. & we must.



To focus on the purpose of why we are here is what Elder Walker focused on. We invite others to come unto Christ. We must be doing that in action but also by example. Applying the doctrinal principles of faith, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, & enduring to the end. By doing so, we put forth effort. An effort that will bless you forever. We need to share the light of Christ at all times. He is the answer, not just for you, but for all those around us.



I think what touched my heart the most was when our mission president spoke about Nephi. When he climbed up the mountain to pray. I've been feeling like my prayers are lacking, like there's some needed improvement. He gave the thought that when we pray we should be going to the summit of the mountain, everytime. It will take strength & effort. But it should. It is where everything starts, with prayer & faith. Tears filled my eyes. I decided it was time to change. To go up to the summit.



So I invite you to do the same. Go to the summit & stay there a while.

I am left full of gratitude. All that this year has brought me, blessings upon blessings that are just impossible to count. I am emotional while writing this email because I am here. Heavens Are Open!!!

I want to live like this. Drenching myself in the scriptures, every. single. day. Praying all the time. Trusting in the Lord. Strengthen my testimony. Honoring my covenants. And so much more. This past weekend, words of God were spoken to us by the Prophet, the Apostles, & the General Authorities of the church. We were uplifted, encouraged, and showered with love. I have listened to general conference all my life, but never like this. We gathered in the auditorium and sat to listen to every word spoken, taking notes along the way. I have so many things I want to say. Let's just say, if you didn't listen to conference this time... go & listen right now.      I want to just write some lines that stood out to me so much!!! If Christ were here, he would say He loves us. He would ask us to repent. With His help, you can carry any burden. See yourself as he sees you!!!
