Last Hour

After lessons everyday for a week, we finally finished. Nahuel & Yanira are ready for their baptisms!! We have found their pure desire & it is so beautiful. They both have made the changes necessary to go forward with this. Lessons filled with the spirit & lessons filled with laughter. They have become family & I could not be more thankful. This Thursday, their lives will be changed as they receive the first covenant with their Father in Heaven. They will be opening the door & I know they will keep going, looking for the next!!!

Karina has been on the edge. She got baptized the first week we got here. She has been a light in our lives. Recently she has found herself getting caught up in the little things. A lack of love & passion in the branch. She doesn't feel good going to church. She felt that maybe it was her calling, so she took a step back from that. But then, she didn't come to church yesterday. The first time she has missed since her baptism. Oh how it just broke my heart into half. As we've been visiting her, we find her sadness & anger. She knows this is the true church of Jesus Christ. Her testimony is still intact. What she needs is for the members to realize that & to wake up. So we work with the members & try to help them find joy & excitement in knowing they are members of this church. We know this is sometimes part of the process with new converts. We know that the Lord will help her through this trial. It is just so sad to see. So we pray.

The truth has been restored. We have all of it. We are to represent it. This is the last dispensation. We are The Church of Jesus christ. He himself directs it. This is His work. We are His instruments. But he cannot use us as instruments until we make the sacrifice, until we make the change, until we humble ourselves enough for Him to make his way in. 

So, I invite you to repent. This invitation does not mean just a prayer and say I'm sorry. This is repentance, with a change of heart, everyday. I invite you to humble yourself. To let God show you your faults that He may refine you. I invite you to love one another. Let people change, let people repent & then love them even more. & I invite you to remember. To remember God & his love for you, individually & personally. To remember Jesus Christ & his sacrifice, for you individually & personally. To remember that this is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints & we are they who represent it. I invite you to live as though, to be proud of it, & to be firm. 

I know that Jesus Christ lives. That He is where we find peace, joy, and light. I know that we have a living prophet on the earth today. He is called of God. I know that the truth has been restored by the prophet Joseph Smith & that by the power of God he was able to bring forth the Book of Mormon. I know it to be the word of God. & I know that, without a doubt, because I prayed & I felt it. This is the true church of Jesus christ. The kingdom of God on the earth. I know it.
