Do You Know Him?

As we sat there sharing the first vision, she said, "I just got chills all over my body." The spirit came to testify of the things we have been teaching. She felt it. We took that opportunity right away to explain the way that the spirit works & how important that moment was. We used the scriptures & she loved it. She was going around marking each verse we read. We invited sweet Melani to be baptized. We have been teaching her for a few weeks & we know she is just so special. We know that because there have been a few obstacles. There was some glitch in our records that showed we weren't teaching her & so it took us a minute to go see her at the beginning. We planned a visit with her last week & put it in our calendar, but disappeared & after the lesson had passed we realized she had been waiting for us because she put a picture of her drinking mate while reading the Book of Mormon on her story. We texted her right away & went later that day. Each lesson we have had have just been full of the spirit. She is 23 & is just so pure. Already is building her testimony & we just pray that her boyfriend will want to get married.

Melody prayed. She started to read the scriptures out loud with us. She came to church. She has such faith. Isabel is praying profoundly. She is sharing the gospel with her family. She is preparing to go to the temple & got her recommend. They are filling our lives with joy. We have been teaching them & with them is their dad. He loves to listen & he is recognizing the changes in his daughters. He told us it amazes him. Yesterday we went to go teach the commandments & we asked if Melody already knew what the word of wisdom was. We said the 5 things we can't do. She said, "no beber, no tomar, no tener relaciones sexuales fuera del matrimonio." She got ahead of herself & we all laughed. This traslated means, "don't drink, don't drink, don't have sexual relations outside of marriage." We finished by sharing a video about the temple & they sat there as a family watching, with such reverence & peacefulness. It was beautiful. Mario is going to come to Melody's baptism & it is going to be beautiful.

There was a ward baptism for the cutest little girl, her name is Aylin. I can't even explain the feelings I felt during this baptismal service. She came back in after she was baptized to receive the Holy Ghost & her dad gave her the blessing. At the end of it, tears just filled my eyes, then they started falling. Almost uncontrollably. She got up to share her sweet 8 year old testimony. She was just crying. She said, "when I got baptized, I felt happy." More crying. We sang the last hymn & I could barely even sing. I was sobbing. I remembered that day of mine, how special it felt. How blessed I am. I love this gospel. It is so perfect.

We had a lot of meetings. Zone conference & leadership conference. Our minds have been filled, especially with general conference. We have been focusing on the spirit. The assistants showed a video that touched me. It was Elder Henry B. Eyring talking about the mission call process. He said that God must love us. He said that nothing compares. That the spirit is guiding the quorum of the 12 in these decisions. You don't remember His face but He remembers yours. It was powerful. They invited us to read a talk. We have been applying it to our work. It talks about the first thought, how we should follow the first thought. We have been focusing on these thoughts we have & acting on them. It has been awesome. We talked about joy, prayer, scriptures, & the celestial kingdom. So much revelation this week.

After the conference, I was studying & I got thinking about when Jesus was asking Simon if he really loves Him. For us, it could be the same question. But it could also be, do you really know Him? How much do you know about His life? How much time do you spend in prayer? How much time do you spend trying to be like Him? How many times do you think about Him a day? How much are you repenting?

"We are literal Children of God, & He knows us. And we can know Him because of our unique & close relationship with Him through our prayers, obedience, & service one to another."

"Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid... let your light so shine."

"First, your Heavenly Father loves you, and, Second, your Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, loves you. Get these truths right in your mind and then sink them deep into your heart. They will provide you a compass for how you should act and how you should treat others, and they will give you the strength to overcome temptation and stay on the Church covenant path."

They will provide you a compass. You are so loved. You are known. Don't you ever forget that.

Oh how much I love you. I pray for you.

With all my heart,

Hermana Morley <3
