The End Of The Rainbow

The wait is somehow always worth it. It has been a few weeks of just waiting for someone who truly wants this gospel. We have been working so hard & praying with so much faith. God answered our prayers on Saturday night. We were in a neighborhood we are always in & there was a man outside his house sweeping. We have knocked these doors before & always wanted to keep knocking them but never got an answer. We went up to him & we talked to him about why we're here & my companion asked him if he had been baptized before in any church. He told us he had not & we taught him about the restored church. His name is Daniel & I am so happy we met him. He explained to us a few of the rough situations he has been in over the past few years & how his faith in God has been so present. He knows God has worked miracles in his life. He just can see it in his family. We talked to him of the blessings we recieve in this gospel & he was just so happy. He said that he sees peace in our eyes. We invited him to come to church & he didn't even question it. He told us he would be up at 9 waiting for us to come get him. That next morning he texted us a picture of him waiting outside & we walked to church. It wasn't a surprise that he just loved it. I have felt so much happiness lately but that moment when a friend comes to church for the first time is just something else. I love this gospel.

But God wasn't done with the miracles because last night we went to go visit our other dear friend we had found the week before. We had already given him a Book of Mormon & invited him to pray about it. He told us that God didn't tell him it was true but he slept so peacefully that night so he feels that's a sign. We began to read a little part together to talk about Jesus Christ & acting on our faith. He told us he didn't want to read but as Hermana Neuendorf started to read he just took over without saying anything. Another joyful moment, when your friends read out loud. He is so awesome. He wants to take it step by step but we invited him to church again & he had said that he was good with just the visits the other time but yesterday he didn't say no & then Hermana Neuendorf asked God in prayer for help to get to church & he just chuckled. His heart is opening & the spirit is entering. I am so happy.

Ilda is one of our sweet converts in this ward. She is an older lady & we love her. She has been sharing the gospel with her family. They were asking her questions & even though she couldn't remember exactly, she testified that Joseph Smith was a prophet & that we don't worship him. The following day she asked us & we were able to teach her again about Joseph Smith & the spirit was so present & she loved it. Then we taught her husband, who had an accident & has memory loss, to pray. It was a sweet moment together.

For my personal study one day I just felt as though God was talking to me. We had just finished a few calls & I began reading from the Book of Mormon. Alma & Ammon preaching the gospel through hard times. Then I wanted to read a talk. It was called infuriating unfairness. I felt as though maybe my faith was letting go. Then I read, "Jesus Christ both understands unfairness and has the power to provide a remedy. Nothing compares to the unfairness He endured. It was not fair that He experienced all the pains and afflictions of mankind. It was not fair that He suffered for my sins and mistakes and for yours. But He chose to do so because of His love for us and for Heavenly Father. He understands perfectly what we are experiencing...Do not let unfairness harden you or corrode your faith in God. Instead, ask God for help. Increase your appreciation for and reliance on the Savior. Rather than becoming bitter, let Him help you become better. Allow Him to help you persevere, to let your afflictions be “swallowed up in the joy of Christ.'" It was just what I needed.

So just remember, Christ knows you. He knows all that you are experiencing & He is with you. You are not alone.

Time is running out & I can't really believe it. This week made me happy. We have some amazing friends. Pray for them please!

I love you all & I pray for you.

With all my heart,

Hermana Morley <3
